Inspired by contemporary design and calls back to old English gothic scriptures, Elixir alludes to ancient calligraphy in basic style and feel with a modern smoothness. To craft this typeface to be more applicable for the modern era, I thickened the stroke, rounded the edges, and removed the most decorative aspects. These subtle modifications leave you with a hint of the gothic inspiration but with more legibility and a contemporary feel for broader use.
