About
Camper is all organic and feels like a walk through the woods. With fluid, hand-drawn letters and rounded, asymmetric serifs, it feels simply human. There is nothing artificial about this type. Camper, in it’s rugged feel, features both upper and lowercase, a wide range of punctuation, symbols, and numbers. It's the whole package. With the charm of Comic Sans but the sophistication of a serif, Camper delights, amazes, and boasts fantastic legibility while remaining fun, organic and a journey off the beaten path.

I developed Camper after looking at Comic Sans and wondering, how can we make this better, more organic? I started with the hand-drawn base and ended with a refined, but still a little rough-around-the-edges, bold finish. The uppercase letters are a touch bolder than the lowercase, adding a touch of personality and assisting with legibility at smaller scales. Camper is best for professional settings that cater to nature, organic products, or outdoor camping products, but it could be used on a wide range of materials. I see it thriving best on signage, posters, and educational spaces.
